Women in the fifties were unable to go out and do things. Rules for women were very strict. They would have to be fully clothed and be with someone at all times. Women did not have any rights at this time. Nowadays women can do just about what ever they want. For example in the first advertisement the women is not wearing all her clothes. In the fifties this would not be aloud. They would have to be fully clothed and not show a lot of skin. Women were not able to go out alone in the fifties either. In this other advertisement, women were not allowed to wear see through clothing. They are not allowed to show cleavage. In this advertisement, the women has a see through shirt on. This women could also be gay. Back in the fifties they also did not allow that. She also should have had long sleeves on. Tattoos and piercings were also not allowed. In this ad, this lady has a tattoo on. Back in the fifties she would not be able to be in front of camera or a model.
